Don't understand, and demonize everything into the literal spawn of Satan if something out of their normal comes to them. I love my parents, but I literally can't wait until their generation is gone - they're the most stubborn, reckless and willfully ignorant (ty above posters for this) people I could ever imagine, and watching them take sides against their own friends and families because they're afraid of change is beyond despicable. It's funny you say that. I remember the first computer I bought that had a modem port, and thinking that the Internet was a cool accessory for my computer activities. That was barely 20 years ago, and now computer functionalit.

Is an accessory to your internet access device. I remember how unrestricted it all was. Because we literally hadn't conceived of all the fucking horrible ways to fuck each other over with it. It was like this big explosion of knowledge, and for a kid stuck between giving a shit about school and the world... the internet captivated me and so many of my friends into giving a shit. It's just disheartening to see so many of our parents and elders above having preached the 'gospel of knowledge and intelligence' and how important school was to equip ourselves and to be able to protect ourselves once we got into the real world.   He's primarily doing it because he saw other people had done it and his thought process didn't go beyond that.  Deep down he knows that he's such a waste of space that carving his initials into a rock is literally his only way to make a lasting mark.  Uggggh, people that do this crap in parks should be perma-banned when caught. Action over reality. It’s true though. My friend and I got a bad grade during a project in HS for using inaccurate information we got from an unverified source (as we should have.... even though it still felt awful lol) but these adults never have to do anything like that. You can make anything, literally ANY fake ass info graphic and they’ll gobble it down because if x person shared it, then it must be true. On top of all of this I think a lot of people who did not grow up with the internet and didnt have adults telling them not to add people you don't know are adding people they dont know on Facebook constantly and then see something a perfect stranger sha.
