One of our guys got his lower leg snapped during MCMAP green belt (his fault, be a good cookie and that doesn’t happen) but decided to take his cast off early and fucking hobble around the bricks with no crutches. Got 100% medically discharged. 100%. Now he sits on Facebook and tells people that he fought for their freedom. I remember hearing that he was completely paralyzed after that. He didn't need his disability originally.

It's always awesome to hear communities coming together. How are y'all funding stuff like fuel and other supplies? I assume your volunteers came with their own saws and heavy equipment, but it costs $$ to operate them even if people are volunteering their time and sweat. Any chance the local gov will reimburse you for fuel and supplies, or y'all passing the hat around the town? The reality is a lot of these businesses and people are eating the costs because to them, protecting one another is worth it.   Even if it did disappear in 40 years, if every person did this who walked through, the park would be nothing BUT people's carvings.
