 There is one scene that I think qualifies as a jump scare: after Paul discovers Annie's scrapbook and gets a knife from the kitchen which he hides under his mattress, Annie comes home and he falls asleep. Shortly after, it's storming outside and Paul awakens and looks up next to him, and a bolt of lightning flashes as Annie is shown standing next to him looking down sinisterly with a syringe in her hand. It gets me every time! (The next scene is the infamous hobbling scene.)

 Is this dinner with your girlfriend something a third person could join? I'm happy to linger in the shadows with my plate of ham and not say anything if that would make it less awkward. I suspect that might make it a little more awkward; you'd be better to sit at the head of the table and tell witty anecdotes/dad jokes. How does it get double-smoked? It's always awesome to hear communities coming together. How are y'all funding stuff like fuel and other supplies? I assume your volunteers came with their own saws and heavy equipment, but it costs $$ to operate them even if people are volunteering their time and sweat. Any chance the local gov will reimburse you for fuel and supplies, or y'all passing the hat around the town? The reality is a lot of these businesses and people are eating the costs because to them, protecting one another is worth it.   Even if it did disappear in 40 years, if every person did this who walked through, the park would be nothing BUT people's carvings. These places see tens of thousands, sometimes hundreds of thousands of people walk through it every year. "Keep America Beautiful", should be a phrase etched in the minds of Americans.
